Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has successfully undergone the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial screening ahead of the 2027 elections in Abuja.
Speaking after the screening in Abuja, Governor Eno said, “I successfully completed my screening with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and have been cleared to contest in the forthcoming governorship primary election.”
The governor stated that during the exercise, he highlighted “some of the progress we have made in the last three years through the ARISE Agenda and explained that my decision to seek a second term is to consolidate on these achievements and complete the many ongoing projects across our State.”

Governor Eno also expressed appreciation to the leadership of the APC, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, members of the National Assembly and the people of Akwa Ibom State for their support.
“I appreciate the leadership of our great party, the Senate President, distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, members of the National Assembly, and all Akwa Ibom people for their continued support and confidence in our administration,” he said.
“By the grace of God, we will continue to work in peace and unity for the good of our State. God bless Akwa Ibom State,” the governor added.
