The Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has congratulated Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima on his emergence as the running mate to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election.
Govenror Yusuf described the nomination as a well-deserved recognition of his dedication and service to Nigeria.
The Governor conveyed his congratulations during a courtesy visit to the Vice President at Aguda House, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf expressed delight over Shettima’s nomination and wished both him and President Tinubu success as they prepare for the 2027 general election.
He also prayed for Allah’s guidance, wisdom, good health and strength for the President and the Vice President to continue providing purposeful leadership for the country.
Governor Yusuf was accompanied on the visit by the member representing Gwale Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Garba Diso; APC National Ex-Officio, Muhammad Jamu Yusuf; and the Kano State Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Auwalu.
The Governor reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote national unity, peaceful coexistence and sustainable development across Nigeria.
