Progressive Media Team of All Progressive Congress(APC) has called for an outright rejection and cancelation of the party’s primary election held on Saturday, 26th of June.
Briefing newsmen in Awka the state capital, Spokesman of the group, Mr Jude Oruola alleges there was no primary election in all the 326 electoral wards of the state and wondered where the primary election committee got the figures it announced.
“We want to state it categorically clear that no Primary election was held anywhere in the state and the declaration of anybody by the committee in the state only exists in their imagination” Our members across the electoral wards are still waiting for the electoral committee to carry out their assignment for the party since June 26th” Oruola said.
While describing the outcome of the election as unacceptable and show of injustice in the party, he called on the President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Working Committee of the party to intervene with a view to redress the situation.
“This is our position which has been re-affirmed by the generality of the party leaders, Elders of our Party, Local Government Chairmen of our Party who are the custodian of the party at various Local Government Areas,” Oruola said.
