India, Poland To double Bilateral Trade By 2030

India and Poland have agreed to double bilateral trade by 2030 and establish a Defence Industry Dialogue and a Counter-Terrorism Dialogue to strengthen cooperation in defence and security.

The agreements were reached on Thursday during talks between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Polish counterpart, Donald Tusk, who is on a three-day official visit to New Delhi from October 21 to 23.

Official figures show that bilateral trade between the two countries stood at 6.36 billion dollars in 2025, with both sides seeking to expand economic ties and create further opportunities for trade and investment.

According to a joint statement issued after their meeting, the two leaders held comprehensive discussions on bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues of mutual interest.

The proposed Defence Industry Dialogue is expected to provide a framework for strengthening engagement between the two countries’ defence industries, while the Counter-Terrorism Dialogue will deepen cooperation in addressing security threats.

The agreements form part of wider efforts to advance the India-Poland Strategic Partnership through closer economic engagement and cooperation in defence, security and other areas of mutual interest.

Both countries are expected to build on their existing partnership to pursue the trade target and advance their shared strategic interests by 2030.
