The Kaduna State Government has condemned the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area, which claimed several lives and destroyed property.
The attack occurred in the border community between Kaduna State and Ganawuri in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Ahmed Maiyaki, the government described the incident as tragic and unacceptable, assuring residents that security agencies had been directed to intensify operations to apprehend those responsible and bring them to justice.
Governor Uba Sani expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of those who lost their lives. He also wished those injured a speedy recovery.
The governor further directed the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA) to provide immediate relief materials and humanitarian assistance to families affected by the attack.
The statement reaffirmed the Kaduna State Government’s commitment to working closely with the Plateau State Government, security agencies, traditional institutions and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen security collaboration, restore lasting peace and safeguard lives and property along the Kaduna–Plateau border.
The government appealed to residents to remain calm, vigilant and law-abiding, urging them to support security agencies with credible information, reject violence and embrace dialogue as a means of resolving conflicts.
It reiterated its commitment to protecting all communities across the state and sustaining peace, security and social harmony.
