Kano State Governor Inaugurates Committees for Party Registration

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has inaugurated committees for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Registration/Revalidation Exercise, assuring that, the era of inconclusive election was over in the state.

The State committees were inaugurated during a Stakeholders Meeting on the exercise, held at Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano.

Governor Ganduje said APC will ensure that more people are registered in the exercise.

“We will do our best to see that we register more people in this exercise. We are giving out all the materials for the exercise tomorrow, for the 44 local governments across the state. 

“As you are all aware, we have committees for this registration/revalidation exercise at all levels state, local government and ward levels,” he explains.

Governor Ganduje called on all his Aides and all other political appointees, to make sure that they register along with their families.

“Being the most populous state in the federation and biggest democracy in the country, we need to prove that in this exercise. This is absolutely necessary,” he emphasized.

He said facemasks, hand sanitizer and other materials used in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic will be given out to be used for the exercise.

Ganduje received, at the event, a 7-person committee sent from the national headquarters of the party, APC, under the leadership of Dr Kabiru Ibrahim Matazu, who commended the administration of Ganduje for being committed to the exercise.

Present at the event were all Senators from the state, members of the House of Representatives, party leaders and elders, members of the State House of Assembly, Commissioners and members of the State Executive Council, out-going and in-coming Chairmen of the 44 local governments, many Aides of the Governor, among others.

All the speakers promised to do their best in making sure that the exercise is conducted successfully with little or no hitch. They all commended Governor Ganduje for his untiring effort in making the party stronger.
