Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has lauded President Bola Tinubu’s transformative policies, particularly in the petroleum and monetary sectors, describing them as critical steps toward long-term national prosperity.
Speaking during an official visit to the All-Progressives Congress, APC, National Secretariat in Abuja the nation’s capital, Governor Ododo reiterate his loyalty to the Apc.
While expressing unwavering strong support for President Tinubu’s bold economic reforms, Governor Ododo declared that the people of Kogi State stand firmly behind the Nigerian leader and will deliver massive support for his re-election bid in 2027.
“Mr. President’s unwavering support to Kogi State is not taken for granted, and I assure him of our unflinching loyalty and massive support in 2027 and beyond.” Governor Ododo emphasised.
Addressing party leaders and members of the National Working Committee, Governor Ododo expressed profound gratitude to the APC for its steadfast support throughout his political journey, from his candidacy to his current role as governor.
He emphasised his commitment to advancing the party’s ideals through inclusive, people-centered governance.
“The confidence reposed in me by the party and its leadership has not only inspired my commitment to serve with humility and excellence, it has also reinforced my resolve to uphold the ideals and vision of our great party.”
The Governor further noted that in just 14 months, his administration has made notable progress in security, agriculture, infrastructure, and social services and has prioritized youth and women in leadership, creating space for new ideas and generational change.
Governor Ododo also commended APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, for his strategic leadership in unifying and expanding the party nationwide.
“Your dedication, hard work, and strategic leadership have solidified the APC as the party of choice among Nigerians across all divides.” Governor Ododo noted.
In response, Dr. Ganduje described Governor Ododo as one of the party’s rising stars, citing his energy, achievements, and collaborative governance style.
“And also, we have to thank you for having a good relationship between you as the governor and your deputy governor.
That’s another area that we are having problems in this country.
So, our party is a living party. A party that works with knowledge.
We will also find out what is the actual problem between a governor and their deputy governor.” The party’s National Chairman stated.
Dr. Ganduje emphasised that the APC is a knowledge-driven party committed to results, not trial and error.
He noted the party’s growing strength across the country and reaffirmed the national leadership’s continued support for Governor Ododo and the people of Kogi State
