The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council under the leadership of Mr. Adeleye Ajayi, has channeled many efforts in the area of capacity building for members.
As part of the Council’s commitment towards equipping Lagos journalists with the necessary skills to help them discharge their duties professionally, the Union has organised a 3-day workshop on Video Editing courtesy of American Corner.
Mr. Ajayi noted that training and retraining Journalists was key to the success of the profession. He described Lagos State as the Centre of Journalism in Nigeria, and as such, its members must be seen to be working the talk. One will recall that no fewer than 450 members of Lagos NUJ benefitted from the Google NewsLab Training, 29 members participated in the Nigeria Customs Training for Maritime reporters and some senior editors, while some Council members attended the training.
