The President of Madagascar,Micheal Randrianirina, has arrived at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, for a courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu.
The visiting President arrived at the State House Forecourt at exactly 2:57 p.m. on Monday and was received by Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs,Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu.

Following the brief reception ceremony, the Madagascar leader was escorted to the president’s office for a meeting with President Tinubu.
The visit is expected to further strengthen diplomatic relations and cooperation between Nigeria and Madagascar, as both countries continue to pursue closer engagement on issues of mutual interest within the African continent.
Nigeria and Madagascar have maintained cordial relations within the framework of the African Union and other multilateral platforms in the last few years.

It would be recalled that President Tinubu met with Madagascar’s leader during a bilateral engagement in Nairobi, where both countries explored opportunities for deeper cooperation in trade, economic development and regional stability.
