The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has reassured Nigerians, particularly women, families, and vulnerable groups of a future built on deliberate action, inclusive policies, and transformative programmes.
In a statement issued on Thursday by her Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Jonathan Eze, the Minister said that progress would be achieved through commitment and measurable impact rather than distant promises.
“Brighter days are not a distant aspiration; they are the outcome of our deliberate actions and unwavering dedication,” she said.
Highlighting the Ministry’s focus, Sulaiman-Ibrahim noted that initiatives under her leadership are aimed at fostering economic empowerment, strengthening social protection systems, and advancing national development.
“The work we are doing today is not merely about making promises for tomorrow; it is about taking concrete, well-considered steps to build a more inclusive, secure, and prosperous Nigeria for all,” she affirmed.
On staff welfare, the Minister pledged to build a culture of excellence and accountability within the Ministry.
“Your commitment is the engine of our progress, and together we will build a legacy of service and transformative impact,” she told the workforce.
She further reiterated her zero-tolerance stance on gender-based violence, stressing that systems are being reinforced to support survivors and guarantee justice.
The Minister also pointed to ongoing relief interventions targeting vulnerable women and families nationwide.
Looking ahead, Sulaiman-Ibrahim disclosed plans for a strategic retreat to align all policies and programmes with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“I am confident that through our collective effort, we are laying a firm foundation for a future where every Nigerian woman and child can truly thrive,” she noted.
