The troops of the Multi-National Joint Task Force MNJTF Sector 3 Monguno have repelled an attack by Boko Haram terrorists and Islamic State’s West Africa Province terrorists in Borno State.
According to a statement by the Chief of Military Public Information, MNJTF Headquarters, Ndjamena Chad, the troops were conducting routine patrols along Gajiram general areas in Borno State, when they suddenly came under attack.
Ndjamena Chad explained that “During the encounter, Four (4) insurgents were neutralized while many fled with multiple gunshots wounds. Unfortunately, one soldier sustained an injury, and he is receiving treatment at the military medical facility”.

He attributed the successful mission to the “renewed vigour and resilience in the conduct of the ongoing clearance operations to flush out the remnants of BHT/ISWAP terrorists around the fringes of Lake Chad region”.

1 X Hair comb
1 X car charger
2 X touch light
1 X Techno phone set

It would be recalled that during his recent familiarisation/operational visits to sectors levels, the Force Commander MNJTF, Major General Abdul Khalifah charged the troops to maintain the tempo and adopt an aggressive posture in dealing with insurgents, in order to deny them freedom of action. The FC commended the troops and reiterated his earlier commitment to providing necessary support to defeat the remaining criminals across the region.
