Nigerians urged to keep and value cultures

Nigerians have been urged to embrace, keep and value their cultures through documentation of art works.
The Nigerian Senate President Mr. Ahmad Lawan made the call at an Ethno-Lucent Art Exhibition Painting and Photography by a young talented Nigerian Stephen Binos in Abuja, Nigeria.
The Senate President said: “The situation today across the world demands that we are able to document this historical and very important Art works because technology, while is a blessing to all of us, has its own way of undermining our Cultures. I believe in keeping to my culture because it doesn’t in any way stop me from being modern and contemporary.”
While encouraging the young artist to sustain and improve on the art works, the Senate President promised to continue to support Nigerian youths to be productive in order to contribute to National development.
“Our desire as a government is to ensure that, this Country stabilizes, to be able to provide better security environment for people to excel and to attract foreign direct investment,” the Senate President said.
He assured Nigerians that the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari “will continue to work hard and bring back security in the country.”
The young artist Mr. Stephen Binos said, he is motivated by the desire “to project the minority ethnic groups in Adamawa state North East Nigeria, for Nigerians and world to know about them”.
His Father Senator Binos Yaroe who promised to support the young artist, identified history as ” very important in the life of every nation”.
