The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has postponed the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course in Sokoto and Niger States to August 12, 2026.
The postponement is due to ongoing renovation of the orientation camps by the respective state governments, the NYSC said.
In a statement by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the scheme said the Cut-Off and Swearing-in Ceremony would hold on Friday, August 14, while the Closing Ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1.
The NYSC advised all Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) deployed to the two states to avoid night travel and prioritise their safety while proceeding to the orientation camps.
The Director-General of the NYSC, Olakunle Nafiu, wished the prospective corps members a safe journey and a successful orientation exercise.
