Officials Pay Tribute to Late NPC Chairman

Government Officials have paid tributes to Late Chairman of National Population Commission, NPC, Dr. Aminu Yusuf who was described as a man who left a great legacy behind.

The Late Aminu Yusuf who died after a brief illness on Friday in Abuja Nigeria’s capital, was buried according to Islamic rites in his hometown in Minna the Niger State capital.

The Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umar Bago who was represented by the Deputy Governor of the State, Comrade Yakubu Garba described the Late Aminu Yusuf as “a rare gem” whose legacy lives on.

The members of Staff of the NPC, said the Late Chairman of the Commission would be remembered for his “Seven Point Agenda” for the Commission.

Speaking on behalf of the Commission, the Commissioner Representing Oyo State South, Dr. Tayo Oyetunji said the Late Chairman would be remembered for his Visionary leadership.

The Emir of Minna, Dr. Umar Faruk Bahago who received the NPC delegation described the death of The Late Yusuf as a great loss to the Nation and Niger State and would be remembered for his good works and Legacy.
