The Ogun State House of Assembly has passed three bills aimed at strengthening vehicle inspection services, enhancing judicial capacity and improving rural road infrastructure across the state.
The House passed the bills during plenary at the Assembly Complex, Abeokuta, presided over by the Speaker, Oludaisi Elemide, after the consideration and adoption of reports presented by the relevant House committees.
The bills include the Vehicle Inspection Services Establishment Bill, 2026; the Ogun State Judicial Institute Bill, 2026; and the Ogun State Rural Access Roads Agency Bill, 2026.

The Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, Wasiu Ayodele, presented the report on the Vehicle Inspection Services Establishment Bill, while the Chairman, Committee on Justice, Ethics and Public Petitions, Oluseun Adesanya, laid the report on the Ogun State Judicial Institute Bill.
Also, the Chairman of the Committee on Water Resources, Energy and Rural Development, Olakunle Sobukanla, presented the report on the Ogun State Rural Access Roads Agency Bill.
The committee reports were unanimously adopted after motions moved by the respective committee chairmen and seconded by lawmakers Babatunde Tella and Adegoke Adeyanju.
Thereafter, the Assembly considered the bills clause by clause during the Committee of the Whole before the Clerk of the House, Sakiru Adebakin, read them for the third time.
Afterwards, the Speaker directed the Clerk to transmit clean copies of the bills to Governor Dapo Abiodun for assent.
The passage of the bills forms part of the Assembly’s legislative efforts to strengthen governance, improve public service delivery and provide the legal framework for infrastructure development, institutional reforms and enhanced road safety in Ogun State.
