President Tinubu Swears In Foreign Affairs State, Power Ministers

Temitope Mustapha, Abuja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in two newly appointed Ministers, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Mr Joseph Tegbe as Minister of Power.

The swearing-in ceremony took place on Monday at the President’s Office in the State House, Abuja, shortly after President Tinubu received the President of Madagascar on a courtesy visit.

The oath of office was administered in the presence of the Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo; the Chief of Staff to the President and other senior government officials.

The inauguration marks the formal commencement of the Minister’s responsibilities within the Federal Executive Council as the administration intensifies efforts to advance its economic, diplomatic and infrastructure development agenda.

The swearing-in follows President Tinubu’s recent approval of cabinet adjustments aimed at enhancing policy implementation and strengthening strategic sectors of government.

Enikanolaiye, a seasoned diplomat and former Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the United Nations Office in Geneva, brings decades of experience in foreign policy and international relations to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Tegbe assumes office at a time when Nigeria is prioritising reforms in the power sector to improve electricity generation, transmission and distribution, in line with the administration’s broader objective of stimulating economic growth and industrial development.
