The scoreboard at the Moshood Abiola National stadium,  Abuja is now fully functional.

This is in fulfillment of  Minister of Youth and Sports Development Mr. Sunday Dare’s promise to restore it after years of inactivity.

The Minister’s public-private partnership initiative led to the intervention of Alhaji Aliko Dangote who decided to fund the rehabilitation work at the edifice.

The Minister  began the rehabilitation  of sporting infrastructure across the country through his Adopt a pitch initiative by fixing the Daura Township Stadium and the National  Stadium, Surulere, courtesy  of Chief Kensington  Adebutu, while Dangote Group is bankrolling  rehabilitation  of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja

The first scoreboard of the main bowl of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium was completely installed and fully tested, while the final installation and testing of the second scoreboard is ongoing and will soon be completed in a few days.

According to the Project Manager of the Construction company handling the project, Mr. Lawal” We are on course to deliver on our mandate to restore the facility back to its original state. The scoreboard is now functional, nursery grass has been planted, and very soon the pitch would be lushed green. We have a responsibility  to ensure that we complete the job as quickly  as possible.”
