SGF urges Nigerians to emulate the late Izuwah’s leadership qualities

Nigerians have been urged to emulate the good leadership qualities of Late Engr Chidi Izuwah during his service to the country.

The secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha made the call in a message to a memorial colloquium held in memory of the former Director General of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), Engr Chidi Izuwah who passed on March 16th, 2021. The theme is entitled, the man and his legacy.

The SGF, who was represented by the permanent secretary, Politics and Economic Affairs of the Office of the SGF, Dr Maurice Nnamdi, described the late Izuwah as an intelligent, honest and hardworking leader who devoted his life to humanitarian services with passion to serve.

Chidi employed diplomacy, focus and brilliance in the discharge of his duties for Nigeria’s economic survival during these difficult times in the history of Nigeria.” He noted.

According to the SGF, Izuwah’s contribution to the development of the  country and concern for the vulnerable group especially children suffering from Autism cannot be forgotten in a hurry.

Also speaking, the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, expressed sadness over the demise of a true patriot describing him as a dedicated, dynamic and hardworking Nigerian.

“Chidi was an amazing character that will not only engage you but keep you happy when you are with him. He was very resourceful and outstanding” He remarked.

Also speaking, the Director General of Voice of Nigeria, Mr Osita Okechukwu, described Izuwah as a Pan-Nigerian whose good works will never be forgotten.

He narrated his laudable virtues and prayed for the repose of his soul adding that he left behind a wonderful and solid legacy.

Similarly, the Acting Director General, ICRC, Mr Mike Ohiani, noted Izuwah’s laudable achievements during his service as the Director General of the commission would be sustained. He described him as a transparent and de-tribalised Nigerian.

 

“We believe that his achievements are exceptional and his legacy lives on.” He said.

During the memoriam, dignitaries, colleagues, family and friends of the deceased, took turns to eulogise his personality as a Man, who devoted his life to the service to God and humanity.
