Alhaji Ahmed made the call at the flag-off of the payment of salaries to 3100 newly recruited civil service workers at the Cabinet Office, Sokoto, following a verification exercise.

This is contained in a statement by Abubakar Bawa, Director-General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Sokoto.

Ahmed said the exercise was conducted to confirm that the recruits had reported to their respective ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) before their salaries were processed.

He explained that the recruitment fulfilled Gov. Ahmed Aliyu’s commitment to creating employment opportunities for residents of the state.
