Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has urged members of the State Executive Council to intensify efforts in implementing government policies and programmes to improve the living conditions of residents.
Governor Aliyu gave the charge while presiding over the council meeting at the Government House, Sokoto.
He urged the commissioners to remain committed to the administration’s development agenda and fulfil the promises made to the electorate during the electioneering campaign.
The governor said his administration would sustain the implementation of projects and programmes with direct impact on the lives of citizens.
“As a government, we will continue to do our best in providing projects and programmes which have direct bearing on the lives of the citizens,” he said.
Governor Aliyu emphasised the need for collective responsibility among council members, urging them to strengthen efforts to meet public expectations across different sectors.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing development in the state and called on the commissioners to remain focused on delivering programmes in line with its policy priorities.
The council is expected to consider policies, projects and programmes aimed at strengthening the implementation of the administration’s nine-point SMART Agenda.
