The Traditional Ruler commended the leadership of NAHCON for ongoing reforms in Hajj administration, noting that managing the logistics of thousands of pilgrims requires dedication, transparency and strategic planning.
The Emir said the Zazzau Emirate, alongside other traditional institutions, remained a key stakeholder in mobilising and sensitising intending pilgrims to ensure a smooth and successful Hajj exercise.
He stressed the need to prioritise the comfort, safety and well-being of Nigerian pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage.
Ambassador Bamalli also urged the Commission to sustain efforts aimed at improving operational efficiency through early preparations and transparent communication to address recurring challenges associated with Hajj operations.
Responding, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON, Ismail Abba Yusuf, expressed appreciation to the Emir for the visit, describing it as a morale booster for the management and staff of the Commission.
He briefed the royal father on the Commission’s policy frameworks, digital innovations and strategic partnerships designed to reduce costs, improve accommodation and feeding arrangements, and streamline the airlift of pilgrims.
The NAHCON Chairman gave assurance that the Commission would consider the observations shared during the visit and reiterated its commitment to delivering an efficient Hajj exercise that meets the expectations of the Nigerian Government and the Muslim Ummah.
