Covid-19: Nigeria confirms 238 new cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 238 new cases of Covid-19 in 17 States across the country.

With the latest figures, the confirmed cases have gone up to 160,895, with 145,752 Discharged and 2,016 Deaths since the outbreak of the virus.

The Centre also reported that it has developed and piloted a tool to verify Covid-19 test results, which will go live in a few days.

“We’re now confident that test results out of accredited private labs in Nigeria can now be verified anywhere in the world,’’ it stated.
