The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has deployed emergency and rescue teams following a tragic train accident involving the Warri–Itakpe Train Service (WITS) in Agbor, Delta State.
According to the corporation, emergency and rescue teams were immediately deployed to the scene following the incident. All passengers on board the train at the time of the accident have since been accounted for.
Regrettably, three fatalities have been confirmed, while efforts continue to provide medical assistance and support to affected passengers and their families.

The NRC stated that relevant authorities are conducting a thorough assessment of the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine its cause and the extent of the damage. Investigations are ongoing, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
The corporation expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and all those affected by the tragedy. It also assured the public of its commitment to passenger safety and ensuring that appropriate measures are taken in response to the incident.
