Nigerian Afrobeats star, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has reinforced the growing global appeal of Nigerian music with a headline performance at the 2026 TribeVille Festival Deluxe in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States.
The annual festival, held on 24 July at the Armoury, celebrates Black music, culture and artistic expression, bringing together artistes from Africa, the Caribbean and beyond.
The event featured performances by Ghanaian duo R2Bees, Jamaican singer Kranium, Voice, CIC and Nigerian disc jockey DJ Tunez.
Wizkid entertained thousands of fans with a selection of his hit songs, drawing enthusiastic sing-alongs and applause throughout his performance.
His appearance forms part of a growing trend of Nigerian artistes headlining major international festivals and concerts, reflecting the expanding global influence of Afrobeats.
