2027: Nasarawa ADP Begins Preparations, Vows Issue-Based Campaign

The African Democratic Party (ADP) in Nasarawa State has officially kicked off its strategic preparations for the 2027 general elections, promising a campaign centred on inclusivity, security, economic recovery, and sustainable empowerment.

The party announced the major milestone during an in-house clearance and affirmation exercise held in Lafia, the state capital, which was monitored by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies.

Speaking after the affirmation, the governorship candidate of ADP, Dr Chris Mamman highlighted Nasarawa State’s rich economic potential and human resources, emphasising that unlocking these assets requires innovative, creative, and globally aware leadership.

He attributed the party’s growing traction across the state to its commitment to internal democracy and a people-driven vision,.

Dr Mamman urged umembers to maintain unity and champion clean, issue-focused campaigning ahead of the polls.

He officially presented Alhaji Aliyu Usman Gurku as his running mate for the 2027 race.

The exercise formally confirmed the party’s candidates running for the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

He further called on supporters to initiate neighbourhood consultations and sensitisation drives across all local communities to broaden the party’s reach.
