COVID-19: Nigeria records lower daily toll of 506 new cases

Nigeria has recorded a lower daily toll of 506 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, February 7, 2021, compared to last Saturday’s 1,588 cases reported.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this via its official Twitter handle.

According to the tweet, the 506 new cases were from 20 states. Ondo State reported the highest number of cases with 90 new cases while Kwara was second with 89 and Jigawa State had the lowest with 1 new case.

The NCDC also tweeted that as of 7 February, 139,748 cases had been confirmed, 113,525 cases treated and discharged, while 1,667 deaths were recorded.
