Ex-Customs boss Abdullahi Dikko dies
The immediate past Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Abdullahi Dikko, is dead.
He died on Thursday, February 18, after a protracted illness.
The late Dikko serviced in office from 2009 to 2015.
Born on May 11, 1960, in Musawa town, a Local Government Area of Katsina State, the late ex-Customs chief attended Government College, Kaduna, in 1974 where he obtained the West African Senior School Certificate in 1980.
He later obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Master of Science degree in Finance from the University of Dimitrov Apostle Tshenov, Svishtov, Bulgaria.
The late Dikko joined the Nigeria Customs Service in 1988 and served in various commands, including Seme Border, Tincan Island Port, Apapa, Imo Command, Kaduna, Badagry Area Command, Investigation and Inspection Headquarters, Abuja, before he was appointed as Comptroller-General of the Service on August 26, 2009.
