The former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has expressed optimism that Nigeria will get over the current ugly security challenges.
Jonathan called for synergy among President Muhammadu Buhari, Governors, Service Chiefs and other stakeholders to tackle insecurity in the country.
He condemned the recent kidnapping of school children and Nigerians for ransom by bandits.
“I believe President Buhari and Governors are not sleeping over insecurity challenge in the country. They are doing their best.
”As long as the President, the Governors, and the security agencies can work together, Nigeria will be able to cross over this very ugly phase of societal evolution,” the former President stated.
He commended President Buhari for his efforts, and asked Nigerians to join hands to make the country safe for all.
Jonathan spoke when he paid a condolence visit to the Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa at Government House, Asaba, on the death of his father, Sir Okorie Okowa.
