The Nigerian government has been challenged to see the discovery of Lithium in many states as another opportunity to create wealth and engage the youth for a better future.
The president of the Nigeria-Israeli chamber of commerce industry and agriculture, Alhaji Sule Iddo said this in Abuja at the opening of the arts and solid minerals resources trade fair that Lithium mineral abound in many states yet to be tapped.
Alhaji Sule said ‘’the objectives of the trade fair was to create the needed awareness of the abundant resources to ensure maximum utilization for jobs creation‘’He described the partnership with Israel as important and reliable in solid minerals as a world leader in the solid minerals sector.‘The collaboration with Israel is very important as a reliable partner in solid minerals development in the world.
Other stakeholders called for a sustainable solid minerals exploration plans that would promote manufacturing of the minerals with value chain edition for the benefits of the host communities.
The stakeholders also called on regulators and players in solid minerals sector to promote Nigeria’s potentials to use solid minerals, especially lithium as alternative source of revenue in line with the diversification drives of the Nigerian government.
The Commissioner for Environment and solid minerals in Nasarawa state, Mr. Yakubu Kwanta said the state was ready to tap all the solid minerals and crude oil recently discovered for the development of the state and Nigeria.
