The Senator representing Ebonyi North District in the National Assembly Dr. Sam Egwu has assured his constituents of better dividends of democracy if the People’s Democratic Party wins the 2023 election.

Senator Egwu who stated this at a PDP campaign rally in Ebonyi Local Government Area of the State, expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party PDP will overwhelmingly win the February and March 2023 general elections through persuasive and issue based campaigns.

Egwu who will be contesting the National Assembly election on February 25, canvassed massive votes from Ebonyi Local government to return to the Senate for the 3rd term, expressing confidence that PDP will record landslide victory through persuasions and not by intimidation.

I plead with you, the people of Ebonyi Local government to sustain the tempo of support you have displayed for PDP and translate such love to votes on election day. You will not be disappointed for delivering me”

The lawmaker reminded party stalwarts that results of the upcoming elections will be used to determine political appointments in the next dispensation.

He commended Ebonyi citizens for strongly believing in PDP as a credible platform to redeem the state from it’s socio- economic woes as evidenced by mammoth crowds that greeted the Atiku/Okowa presidential rally in Ebonyi State.

“I was worried when the Governor of the State, David Umahi left PDP, because I knew that Ebonyi people were comfortable and more relaxed with the party. I knew that to change their minds from following PDP will be difficult thank God you have proved me right by remaining in PDP”

Speakers including the member representing Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency in the National Assembly Chukwuma Nwazunku, professor Adaeze Nwuzor, Chief Chijioke Uwa, Chief Godwin Nwode, Mike Nwebonyi among others reiterated confidence in the ability of Senator Dr Sam Egwu to sustain effective representation of the zone if reelected.

They noted that their support for Egwu to go for 3rd tenure stems from the fact that the Senate requires experienced and matured politician like Egwu and not political neophytes .
