Nigerian Police pays N37 million insurance to families of slain officers

Niger State Command of the Nigerian Police Force has paid over 37 Million Naira to families of personnel who died in active service within the year 2019 to 2022.

 

A Statement by the Commissioner of Police in Niger State, CP Ayodeji said the gesture was in continuation of the Nigerian Police welfare and Group Life assurance scheme.

 

While presenting the benefits to the next of kin and family members, the Commissioner of Police said “losing personnel in the line of duty is a painful experience”.

 

CP Ayodeji who further expressed shock over the recent unfortunate incident, where the Command lost some of its personnel in active service, prayed for God to give the families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

 

He however appreciated the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba for his effort in providing succor to the families of deceased personnel.

 

Daniel Asar and Abubakar Moh’d on behalf of the deceased families appreciated the Nigerian Police for the urgent payment of the insurance.
