The Governorship of Ebonyi State in South-east Nigeria, Engr Umahi has voted at his polling unit, OnuOfokuru 013, umunaga ward 10 at about 12:13pm.
The Governor express happiness over the turnout of masses who were already voting before his arrival.
He voted alongside with his wife, Mrs Rachael Umahi and his Son Osborn Umahi.
Umahi thanked the Security for making the State peaceful.
It would be recalled that The Governor is contesting for Senate, Ebonyi South Senatorial Zone.
Meanwhile, distribution of electoral materials to some other polling units in the state for today’s general election are still ongoing at various Registration Area Centres(RACs).
As early as 7:am, I was at one of the RACs located inside Urban Primary school in Abakaliki, the state capital.
Electoral materials are still being distributed to various polling units in the RAC at the time I visited.
INEC ad-hoc workers were on hand, performing their duties amidst tight security.
No fewer than 14, 600 voters are expected to vote in the RAC according to the INEC sources. The RAC has a total of 24 polling units.
