Early voting commences in most States in Nigeria

Voting has commenced in most States slated for the gubernatorial and house of assembly elections.

As early as 8:05 am, voting commenced in some polling units in Dutse, Jigawa State capital.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials were on the ground as early as 7:30 am to set up their polling booths in units visited.

Security agents such as the police and civil defence as well as officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps were on the ground to monitor the process.

The same goes for polling unit 010, Yola North Local government area in Adamawa State which saw INEC officials setting up their booths by 7 am.

Kwara State also saw INEC officials as early as 7:30 am waiting for voters. In ECWA Polling unit 004, Olla, in Isin Local Government area were up as early as 7 am.

Benue state also saw early voting as INEC officials were on the ground as early as 6:30 am especially in polling unit 011, registration area 06 in Tarka local government area.

Voting has since commenced.
