Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the newly sworn-in Tanzanian first female President, Samia Suluhu Hassan as she takes her place as the country’s leader following the sudden demise of President John Magufuli.
In his congratulatory message, President Buhari urged President Suluhu Hassan to unite the nation and lead the country in a good direction.
The President expressed his desire to work with the new Tanzanian leader to advance issues of common African and global interests.
The Government of Tanzania had on Thursday confirmed that the late President Magufuli died of a heart condition in a Dar es Salaam Hospital.
