Institute Commends Kogi State Governor On Security

Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) Participants of the National Institute For Security Studies (NISS) on a study tour of public institutions in Kogi State, North Central Nigeria, has commended Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, on the development projects in the state.

The Study Group led by the Deputy Commandant of the Institute, Mr. D. E. Egbeji, also commended the vision of the current administration to provide security officers and top-level management with the requisite skills to contribution to implementation of security policies for development.

The leader of the Study Group explained that Kogi State has a leadership status among other states in terms of security, which makes impact on critical sectors of Kogi State economy as the state records positive improvements in policy reforms.

This according to Egbeji, informed the Institute’s choice of Kogi State for the study tour, aimed to understudy the achievements and impact of public institutions on governance in the state.

The Study Group last visited the State in 2021, during which its made some findings on the development programmes of the state government.

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Edward Onoja, received the delegation on behalf of Governor Yahaya Bello.

The course participants of the National Institute for Security Studies– Executive Intelligence Management Course (NISS-EIMC), held interactions with the Heads of government agencies in the state, while it continues with the visits to project sites across the state.

The theme of this year’s study is, Globalization: Implications for Regional Integration and Sustainable Development in Africa.

Secretary to Kogi State government, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade; State Security Adviser, retired Navy Commondor Jerry Omodara, and other government functionaries were present at the event.
