Ebonyi State distributes 60 vehicles to security agencies

The Ebonyi State Government has distributed 60 vehicles to security agencies to curb criminal activities in the State.

The State Governor, David Umahi performed the distribution ceremony in Abakaliki the State capital.

Umahi commended the security agencies for their efforts to ensure that the State is secured.

He directed that all stakeholders in various Local Government Areas should convene a meeting on how to safeguard their localities.

“All the leaders in Nigeria must take responsibility, the insecurity we are experiencing today in our country is as a result of negligence on part of the youths.

Our Youths are angry hence the insecurity in the Country, leaders have failed to secure the future of our children.  Umahi said.

The Governor directed that all bandits where ever they are should be fished out and brought for empowerment.

“EBUBEAGU security outfit is not after either Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB or Eastern Security Network ESN but to secure lives and properties in the region against hoodlums, Umahi added.

He promised that all aggrieved youths will be properly engaged to reduce the insecurity in the State.

Umahi directed all Ebonyi people to defend themselves from any attack from either Herdsmen or bandits.

What happened in Egedegede in Ishielu Local Government Area and Ngbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area shall never repeat itself, no Ebonyi man should be killed by any Herdsmen or bandits, never, Umahi decried.

He thanked all security agencies in the State especially the Police for restoring peace in Effium and Ezza-Effium Community.
