The Nasarawa State First Lady, Hajiya Silifata Abdullahi Sule has urged Christians to preach and practice the doctrines of peaceful coexistence, unity, tolerance, and patience, all virtues espoused and practised by Jesus Christ as they celebrate Christmas.
This was contained in a Christmas message sent by the First Lady.
She said Christian must remain prayerful as the country contends with banditry, kidnapping, and other criminalities such as rape, armed robbery, and cultism among others.
The Christmas period is a period of sober reflection, a time for forgiveness and reaching out to the less privileged and the vulnerable in society.
Mrs Sule further enjoined all and sundry to celebrate cautiously and avoid drunkenness, drug abuse, rough driving in the name of celebration because only the living celebrate.
“Lastly, as we are confronted with the second phase of the Coronavirus pandemic, I implore you all to continue to observe all the COVID-19 protocols including social distancing, the wearing of face masks, and the use of hand sanitizers at all times.” She noted.
