The Kwara State government has condemned the negative assessment of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s last two years in office by the state chapter of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Reacting to PDP’s assessment, the Special Adviser on Political Communications, Alh Bashir Adigun, criticized the PDP for failing to recognise the good work the governor has done in the last two years.

The Special Adviser said the people of the state have rated AbdulRazaq as the best governor in the history of the state based on his outstanding performance in the last two years.

He added that the recent discovery of the alleged massive loot and the conversion of the commonwealth of the state by some identified officials of the last administration is a clear indication of their greed and lack of patriotism.

“We restate unequivocally that those found culpable in the report of the committee on the illegal acquisition of government property will not go unpunished.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the report has been handed over to prosecutors and those indicted will soon face the full wrath of the law.

“Finally, the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq welcomes constructive criticism that will enhance our efforts in jointly uplifting all Kwarans and providing the necessary public goods and services to all,” Adigun stated

It would be recalled that the Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, described the outcome of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s two years in office as woeful, as he has failed to fulfil several of the promises he and his party made to Kwarans during the 2019 electioneering.
