Preparations for the International Air Show, scheduled for December 2–4, 2025, are in full swing, and Minister of Information and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, says the country is fully ready to host the event.

The Minister declared Nigeria’s readiness while inspecting ongoing arrangements ahead of the air show at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

He said the event aims to attract global investors and showcase opportunities within the international aviation ecosystem.

“We just came back from the Dubai Air Show last week, and those air shows actually portray and display the potential of those countries. So for us, this is the first time in the history of Nigeria we are doing an international air show, and we are expecting foreign visitors, foreign airlines, foreign investors to come and see what we have to offer. So it is just a platform for Nigeria to showcase itself.”

Keyamo added that the President Bola Tinubu administration has significantly supported the aviation industry through policies designed to enhance and promote the sector.

He explained that aircraft lessors and financiers are expected at the event, alongside numerous talk shows, seminars, and industry discussions.

“It’s not just about display,” he noted.

Similarly, the Director of the Airshow, Brian Williams, said all necessary arrangements for the event are already in place and expressed confidence in delivering a successful air show that will further promote Nigeria’s aviation industry.
