South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs will face Egypt’s Al Ahly in the 2020-21 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League final at Complexe Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco on Saturday, 17 July 2021.

Besides the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League Trophy, the winners will get the prize money of 2.5 million US $, while the runners up will get 1.25 million US $. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 19:00 GMT.

This will be the fourth CAF Champions League final between teams from South Africa and Egypt, with Al Ahly winning two for the Egyptians (against Mamelodi Sundowns in 2001 and Orlando Pirates in 2013) and Mamelodi Sundowns defeating Zamalek in 2016.

Al Ahly are the title holders, and are playing their record 14th Champions League final. They also hold the record of most titles won (9) having been crowned champions in 1982, 1987, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2013 and 2019-20.

Reigning Champions: Al Ahly, are looking to win the CAF Champions League in consecutive seasons for the third time, after 2005/06 and 2012/13. Since the competition was re-named in 1997 no other side has won back-to-back titles more than once (Enyimba 2003/04, TP Mazembe 2009/10 and ES Tunis 2018/19).

Kaizer Chiefs are playing their first ever CAF Champions League final and are the first team to reach the final  in their debut season in the competition since AS Vita Club in 2014 (runners-up).
