The Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KADSUBEB), in partnership with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), has begun a four-day capacity-building programme for head teachers and junior secondary school principals.
The training is designed to strengthen school leadership, management and quality assurance practices to improve the standard of basic education across Kaduna State.
Declaring the programme open in Kaduna, KADSUBEB Executive Chairman, Mubarak Mohammed said the initiative would equip school leaders with practical skills to enhance school administration and supervision.
Represented by the Director of Quality Assurance, Malam Sabi’u Barwa, he commended UBEC for its continued support in advancing basic education in the state.
Mohammed reaffirmed the Kaduna State Government’s commitment to providing equitable, inclusive and quality education for every child.
He urged participants to fully engage in the training and apply the knowledge gained to strengthen leadership, improve accountability and enhance service delivery in their schools.
UBEC Team Lead and Core Trainer, Mr Vincent Egwuzoro, described effective school leadership as critical to improving discipline, instructional quality and learning outcomes.
He said “the four-day programme would cover school supervision, monitoring and evaluation, resource management, teacher support and the implementation of quality assurance standards in line with UBEC guidelines for efficient school administration”.
