The Gombe State Police Command has reaffirmed the ongoing night ban on motorcycle riders in the Gombe metropolis from 7pm to 6am as part of sustained efforts to enhance security and protect residents from criminal activities.

In a statement, the command said the decision was reached after an intensive security meeting with relevant agencies and stakeholders. Following a thorough review of the security situation, it was unanimously resolved to maintain the restriction, which will resume on Friday, April 3, 2026, and be strictly enforced daily during those hours.
This measure continues to demonstrate the commitment of security agencies to safeguarding lives and property in the state.

“These measures are aimed at preventing the use of motorcycles for criminal activities across the state,” the command said.

The command also reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property throughout Gombe State and said further updates would be issued as the situation develops.
