Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin Pledge Stronger China-Russia Ties

Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin held an evening tea meeting on Wednesday at the Great Hall of the People, where they reached a fresh consensus on advancing the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination, expressing confidence that continued joint efforts would further strengthen bilateral ties and drive high-quality development to greater heights.

During the meeting, Xi noted that he and Putin have maintained regular and close communication over the years, jointly fostering a new model of relations between major powers based on mutual respect, fairness, justice, and mutually beneficial cooperation.

He said the partnership has brought much-needed stability to an increasingly uncertain and turbulent world.

President Putin described the visit as productive, practical, and successful, stating that both leaders reviewed the progress of Russia-China relations, exchanged views extensively on key international and bilateral issues, and outlined future areas of cooperation aimed at sustaining strong momentum in ties between the two countries.
