Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, has received the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Nigeria, Mr Tak Namgung, ahead of the upcoming Korea-Africa Foreign Ministers Meeting scheduled to hold in Seoul, South Korea.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa, the diplomatic engagement is expected to bring together ministers and representatives from 54 African countries as part of efforts to consolidate the gains of the inaugural Korea-Africa Summit and deepen cooperation between South Korea and African nations.
Discussions at the meeting will focus on critical minerals and supply chains, with emphasis on strengthening collaboration in energy, logistics, and the development of strategic mineral resources amid growing global geopolitical uncertainties.

The gathering will also explore broader economic and strategic partnerships aimed at expanding trade relations, promoting green transition initiatives, and advancing digital innovation in line with the objectives outlined during the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit.
The audience between the Nigerian Foreign Affairs Minister and the Korean envoy underscores the growing diplomatic and economic relations between Nigeria and the Republic of Korea, particularly in areas of mutual strategic interest.
