The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Gombe State, Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna has described his emergence as a “deep honour,” pledging to justify the confidence reposed in him by party members and supporters.
In a statement, Dr. Gwamna expressed appreciation to party stakeholders for the opportunity, saying “he remains committed to the ideals of the APC and the development of Gombe State.”
He commended the leadership of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, praising his achievements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, security and human capital development.
According to Dr. Gwamna, “the achievements of the current administration have strengthened public confidence in the APC and provided the party with a solid foundation ahead of the 2027 general elections.’
Dr. Gwamna also expressed appreciation to party executives, stakeholders, fellow aspirants and supporters for their roles during the primary election process, which he described as transparent, inclusive and democratic.
“The APC in Gombe State remains a party built on consultation, inclusiveness, transparency and respect for democratic participation,” he said.
Dr. Gwamna called for reconciliation and unity among party members following the primaries, urging all aspirants and supporters to work together towards the continued development of the state.
“The primaries have come and gone, and now is the time for all of us to come together on the same ship with one shared destination, the continued progress, unity and development of Gombe State,” he stated.
Dr. Gwamna further pledged to lead an inclusive administration if elected governor, assuring residents that he would govern fairly irrespective of political affiliation, ethnicity or social status.
Dr. Gwamna also promised to remain accessible and accountable to the people, while calling for sacrifice, discipline and unity as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
The APC candidate expressed confidence that the party would secure victory at all levels in Gombe State and sustain the policies and programmes of the Yahaya administration.
