The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Kwara State, Mr. Salihu Yakubu Danladi has described his victory at the party’s primary election as a collective success for all aspirants and members of the party in the state.
Mr. Danladi, who emerged winner of the APC governorship primary, said the outcome of the exercise reflected the unity and strength of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking with journalists shortly after he was declared winner, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly thanked God and appreciated party members and residents of the state for their support.
He said; “We need to thank God Almighty for where we are. In APC, we are all one. There is no winner, there is no loser. We are all winners. I need to thank Kwarans for standing by Kwara North.”
Mr. Danladi also expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting his emergence as the party’s candidate.
He pledged to work with all stakeholders and party members to strengthen the APC and ensure victory for the party in the governorship election.
Yakubu thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting his emergence as the candidate of the party. President Tinubu is a Father. I sincerely appreciate him.
“We also need to thank Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. He’s a man of his words. He’s a leader. He’s a transformer. And he has done very well across different sectors,” the Speaker said.
Yakubu promised to build on the legacies of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to move the state to greater heights.
“We are part and parcel of this administration. As a speaker for almost seven years today, I’m practically a part of all the policies of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. All I need to say is legacy continues and our state will be better for it,” he added.
