Nigeria’s Minister of the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has congratulated Muslim faithful in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, calling on citizens to embrace the virtues of faith, sacrifice, compassion, and national unity.
In a goodwill message, the Minister described Eid al-Adha as a sacred festival that symbolises obedience to Almighty Allah and commitment to the values of peace, tolerance, and selflessness as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
“This sacred festival reminds us of the timeless virtues of faith, sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and devotion to the will of Almighty Allah. It is a season that calls for reflection, unity, tolerance, and renewed commitment to the values that bind us together as one nation,” he said.

The Information Minister, urged Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for the peace, stability, and progress of the country while reaffirming the commitment of the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“The administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, remains committed to building a more secure, prosperous, and inclusive Nigeria for all citizens,” he stated.
The Minister also encouraged Nigerians to extend love and support to the less privileged and promote peaceful coexistence irrespective of ethnic, religious, or political differences.
“I encourage Nigerians to strengthen the spirit of national unity and continue to support one another during this period. Our diversity should remain a source of strength and not division,” he stated.
He expressed optimism that the blessings of Eid would bring peace, joy, and prosperity to every home across the country.
“May Allah accept our prayers and sacrifices, and may the blessings of Eid bring abundant peace and happiness to all Nigerians,” he said.
