First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has called for concerted efforts to protect the universe as Nigeria joins the rest of the world in commemorating this year’s World Environment Day
In her message, Mrs Tinubu said challenges associated with the environment must be addressed by all stakeholders.
She said; “On this World Environment Day 2026, with the theme “A Global Call for Climate Action,” I join Nigerians and millions around the world in calling for urgent and collective action to protect our planet and secure a better future for generations to come.
“Climate change is no longer a distant threat. Rising temperatures, flooding, drought, desertification, and environmental degradation continue to affect lives, livelihoods, food security, and public health across the globe, including here in Nigeria.”
