Kano State stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have reaffirmed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and resolved to secure the party’s victory in the 2027 general elections.
The resolution was among several reached at a meeting hosted by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf with federal political appointees from Kano State and top APC leaders at the Government House Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja.
The meeting was held under the auspices of the Tinubu Renewed Hope Appointees Forum, Kano State Chapter, according to a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa on Monday.
The gathering brought together prominent APC stakeholders from Kano to deliberate on the future of the party in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
At the end of the meeting, participants unanimously passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing what they described as his commitment to the development of Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.
The stakeholders also pledged to mobilise widespread support for President Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima, with the aim of delivering a decisive APC victory in Kano State during the 2027 presidential election.
In addition, the forum congratulated Governor Abba Yusuf and his Deputy, Murtala Garo, on their emergence as the APC governorship candidate and running mate for Kano State.
Members reaffirmed their commitment to the implementation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and expressed full support for Governor Yusuf’s Kano First Agenda.
The meeting further resolved that party leaders and stakeholders would work in unity to ensure the APC wins the presidential, governorship, National Assembly and State Assembly elections in Kano State in 2027.
Those in attendance included former Kano State Governor and immediate past National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje; the Kano State APC Chairman, Umar Doguwa; Ministers; Presidential aides; Heads of Federal agencies; Chairmen of Parastatals; Board members; and other Federal Political appointees from Kano State.
The Communiqué issued after the meeting was signed by Basheer Lado, Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate) and Convener of the Tinubu Renewed Hope Appointees Forum, Kano State Chapter.
