President Tinubu meets APC Governors

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday met with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the State House, Abuja.

Following the National Economic Council meeting chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the APC governors proceeded to meet with President Tinubu behind closed doors at about 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

The agenda of the meeting was not disclosed as of the time of filing this report.

The meeting came eight days after campaigns officially commenced for the 2027 general election, in line with the timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

It also came five days after the APC unveiled its Presidential Campaign Council, naming former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, as Director-General.
